Laila Haley is best known on the national and International screen for playing Emma in the 2015 Blumhouse horror film Sinister 2. Laila is a 15 year old actress from right here in the QCA! Born and raised in the Quad Cities, Laila has been seen on stages across the local theatre seen performing at Playcrafters / Barn Theatre as Helen Keller, Quad City Music Guild as Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka, QC Theatre Workshop’s original show ‘Broken’, a heart breaking look into human trafficking, written by local play write Aaron Randolph, as well as on the Circa 21 dinner theatre stage playing Susan’s both times. Once in ‘A Miracle on 34th street’ and the other in ‘White Christmas’. Laila has grown up on the stage (her first role was in Playcrafters production of ‘Papa’s Angel’s’ when she was just 6) and she loves every minute of live performing! Also trained as a classical singer, Laila performs at the Quad City Arts Festival of Trees every year with her “Laila and Friends” hour! Additionally, Laila is a self taught artist and is releasing her first children’s book in mid May 2018 called “Super Heart Heroes ABCs!” as a way to reach out to kids to talk about how to keep their hearts healthy. Heart health became a serious focus in May of 2017 when her father had a heart attack and open heart surgery and the “Super heart heroes’ idea was born, primarily out of a desire to put the idea of heart health into a language that young kids could relate too. The book takes you through the ABCs of ways to be a super heart hero, with the books main character, Katelyn! Laila will be painting faces and selling copies of her children’s book as a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and cannot wait to meet everyone!
